   Associate Lighting Designer/Production Electrician:
Diana: A Celebration
Tutankhamun And The Golden Age of the Pharaohs
Creation of lighting and electrical design, including all plots and paperwork, and installation of two large, touring museum exhibits. Coordinate with lighting designer and exhibit designer for planned layout. Sourcing and procurement of all rental and purchased equipment, cable, dimming, truss, roadcases, expendables, etc. On site scheduling and management of lighting crews for fast-paced three-week installs and one-week de-installs. Diana requires over 520 lighting fixtures, while King Tut requires over 800. Both exhibits also require power distribution for plasmas, projectors, and other A/V equipment.

Programmed and operated GrandMA lighting console. Set up and maintained all lighting truss, cable, instruments, dimmers, and special effects. Tracing and repair of all problems including lamps, dimmer cards, and cabling. Some moving light repair (Mac 2000 series) and other conventional repair. Focused all conventional and moving lights weekly during loadins. Supervised local crew of four to eight people.

   Head Electrician/Rigger and Assistant Electrician
Six different productions
Worked all positions in the electrics department including spot caller, console programmer/operator, moving light technician, and head electrician/rigger on shows with up to 114 moving lights and 700 conventionals and special effects. Managed crews for loadin and loadout and daily maintenance. Budgeting and ordering for spare equipment and parts.

   Lighting Designer/Programmer
Snow White and the Seven Dwarves
Forever Love Featuring Pocahontas
Designed, with a co-designer, the lighting for Snow White and the Seven Dwarves (full two-hour show) and for the Forever Love segments in The Spirit of Pocahontas (a 20-minute pre-show) ice shows. Programmed the Compulite Animator with 18 Clay Paky Stage Scans, 16 High End Studio Colors, and over 500 conventionals, including PARs, scrollers, strobes, foggers, and other special effects. Other console was a Vari*Lite Mini-Artisan2 with 24 VL4's and 24 VL2s.

   Technical Director/Production Manager
Managed all elements of production for events ranging from lecturers to pageants to major arena concerts. Mixed audio and operated lighting for smaller concerts and other productions. Accepted and fulfilled technical riders. Hired and managed all crews. Purchased and maintained equipment within set budget. Used non-linear video editing system to create commercial spots and short programs for UPC's TV studio.
Southern Appalachian Historical Assocation : Boone, NC
Summers, 1995 & 1996
  Master Electrician:
Horn in the West Outdoor Drama and Powderhorn Theatre
Installed, maintained, and redesigned 105-instrument show for a 50-night run each summer in an outdoor amphitheater. Designed and installed lighting for weekly one-act and full-length shows in Powderhorn Theatre, a black box space.
